Founded in 1975 by a group of caring, committed individuals, Bet Breira is a liberal and innovative family-oriented synagogue, which honors tradition even as it creates new rituals. Because of our commitment to a strong Jewish community, we welcome the full spectrum of diverse members who are attracted to our openness and progressive attitudes.
Leadership from the pulpit is matched by the active participation of our members. Whether serving the Congregation or the community, Israel, or world Jewry, the members of our synagogue perform Mitzvot of all kinds. We consider our members to be our greatest asset and strength.
We welcome members and guests to our Friday evening services that begin at 7:30 pm. In addition to this service, a Tot Shabbat service for families with preschool aged children takes place on the first and third Friday of each month at 6:00 pm.
I invite you to join me each Saturday morning for “Bagels & Bible” from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. B’nai Mitzvah celebrations are held on Saturdays, and we pride ourselves on offering the opportunity for each child to have a “single” celebration and not be required to share their Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration.
We have an excellent religious school in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our pre-school and Day school accommodate children from 18 months through 5th grade.
