BET BREIRA, House of Choice, was established as a response to individual needs. It is committed to a creative approach in expressing Jewish identity.
BET BREIRA is a religious community of caring MEMBERS, caring for each other and for the Jewish heritage. Our Congregation is enriched by its members and their commitments. We believe that membership should be synonymous with involvement. BET BREIRA believes in committed membership, by virtue of expecting participation in several facets of Temple activities: Ritual, Observances, Service, Education and Self-growth.
Our focus is on membership participation in religious observances. We are committed to the concept of broad latitude in religious experiences, and providing options through the Congregation.
BET BREIRA provides meaningful education vehicles for members of all ages. We seek to promote continuity in learning and integration of observances as a vehicle for Jewish growth and enrichment.
Our goal is not merely to exist as Jews, but to live as Jews. We strive to translate classical values and beliefs into our daily lives. TORAH (study), AVODA (worship), TZEDAKA (charity) and MAASIM TOVIM (good deeds) are part of our consciousness; not mere academic concepts.
